WHEREAS, on Saturday, October Fourth, Two Thousand and Eight, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Financial Planning Week; and
WHEREAS, the financial planning process allows individuals to achieve their dreams by empowering them to identify and manage realistic financial goals and negotiate the financial barriers
that arise at every stage of life; and
WHEREAS, everyone can benefit from knowing the value of financial planning and where to turn for objective financial advice; and
WHEREAS, the Financial Planning Association® is the membership organization for the financial planning community, representing 30,000 members dedicated to supporting the financial planning
process as a way to help individuals achieve their goals and dreams; and
WHEREAS, the Financial Planning Association believes that everyone is entitled to objective advice from a competent, ethical financial planner to make smart financial decisions; and
WHEREAS, the Financial Planning Association is dedicated to helping individuals discover the value of financial planning.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby proclaim October 4th - 10th, 2008, as
Financial Planning Week
in Cupertino, in order to encourage and promote the valuable understanding of financial planning.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, October Fourth, Two Thousand and Eight.
