WHEREAS, on the First day of June, Two thousand and Eight, The ‘Care for Children’ held its First Children’s Art Faire in Memorial Park Cupertino which was attended by over 800 Children
of all ages and backgrounds along with their parents; and
WHEREAS, Care for Children is an Innovative Education and Service Program of the Art of Living Foundation whose mission is to serve the needs of children from all walks of life and backgrounds
through free education, medical care, free meals and the comprehensive development of their respective communities; and
WHEREAS, the Art of Living Foundation headed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is dedicated to creating and spreading peace from the level of an individual and fostering Human Values within the
Global Communities; and
WHEREAS, this Art Faire which brought together children of all ages and backgrounds to participate in this Fun day of creativity expressed through their art, proved so successful that
Care for Children have decided to make this an annual event in Cupertino.
NOW, therefore the Cupertino City Council and its Mayor do appreciate and hereby recognize the
Care for the Children Art Faire
and encourage all Cupertino residents to support and participate in this annual event of educational, cultural, and community understanding.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, July Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Eight.
