WHEREAS, on Wednesday, July First, Two Thousand and Nine, at a gathering of friends and supporters, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Steve Ting; and
WHEREAS, Steve Ting was the president of Cupertino Rotary for the Two Thousand and Eight to Two Thousand and Nine term; and
WHEREAS, Steve’s theme and initiatives for his Rotary Year were Membership, Partnership, and Fellowship; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino was among the many partners that worked together with Rotary to achieve common goals and improve the quality of life in our community; and
WHEREAS, the highlight of the City’s partnership with Steve as president of Rotary was the Blackberry Farm/KaBoom project to build a playground in a single day using community volunteers;
and
WHEREAS, Steve has provided leadership consistent with the highest standards of Rotary by promoting what is true and fair, and by building goodwill and by tangibly benefiting all concerned.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Steve Ting
as the City of Cupertino Community Partnership Leader of the Year and thank him for his outstanding service, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the citizens
of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, July First, Two Thousand and Nine.
