WHEREAS, on Saturday, October Sixteenth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Shaolin Kung Fu Academy on their 7th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino is proud that Shaolin Kung Fu Academy has been in the city for seven years; and
WHEREAS, the Shaolin Kung Fu Academy promotes culture and mutual understanding; and
WHEREAS, they introduced martial arts as a form of exercise to the community; and
WHEREAS, they promote Chinese culture to Chinese Americans and non-Chinese Americans in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Shaolin Kung Fu Academy is one of the most respected martial arts schools that offers a variety of programs for men, women, and children; and
WHEREAS, they have highly trained instructors that help people develop the confidence, discipline, respect, and positive attitude necessary to overcome future obstacles and challenges.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
Shaolin Kung Fu Academy
for their outstanding work, dedication, and their help in creating a stronger community within the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, October Sixteenth, Two Thousand and Ten.
