WHEREAS, on Tuesday, May Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Rosanne Macek; and
WHEREAS, Rosanne Macek accomplished many new milestones benefiting the Cupertino Library and the community under her calm but energetic leadership of the Cupertino Library staff; and
WHEREAS, as Community Librarian at the Cupertino Library, Rosanne applied her extraordinary abilities to accomplish a circulation of over three and one half million books in the year
Two Thousand and Eight/Two Thousand and Nine; and
WHEREAS, this is the highest circulation achieved by any Santa Clara County Library; and
WHEREAS, uniting the support groups, The Friends of the Cupertino Library, The Library Commission, and The Cupertino Library Foundation, Rosanne developed projects and library programs
as joint efforts to build significant, unprecedented long term partnerships within these support groups; and
WHEREAS, Rosanne Macek will always be thought of as a uniquely gifted librarian whom we have been privileged to be associated with.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Rosanne Macek
for her outstanding work, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, May Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Ten.
