WHEREAS, on Saturday, August Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Northern California Chinese Culture-Athletic Federation’s (NCCCAF) opening
ceremony of the 8th Annual Northern California All Chinese-American Olympics; and
WHEREAS, thousands of fellow Californians will cheer for over one hundred teams and the five thousand athletes competing for titles in track and fields, marathon, basketball, baseball,
volleyball, soccer, tennis, badminton, swimming, skating, ping-pong, Chinese martial arts, and other fun games; and
WHEREAS, we encourage children and families to pursue a healthy lifestyle, because it can lead to a happy and meaningful life.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
8th Annual Northern California All Chinese-American Olympics
and thank Northern California Chinese Culture-Athletic Federation for their outstanding work, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, August Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Ten.
