WHEREAS, on Thursday, April Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Qin Guoying and the delegation; and
WHEREAS, Qin Guoying is the Secretary of National Women Development Foundation, China, also known as Fujihui; and
WHEREAS, the organization helps improve women's overall quality, maintain women's legal rights, and promote the development of women and women undertakings in China; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Guoying’s presentation is about women organizations and their efforts to promote equal rights and fairness between men and women; and
WHEREAS, the organization is bringing together a diverse group of women to discuss the quality of life for women by defining their needs, roles and obstacles through an open discussion
from various ethnic groups; and
WHEREAS, by understanding the challenges facing women of all ethnicities, we will begin to gain a greater understanding and create a foundation to combat these issues in the future.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Qin Guoying of Fujihui
for her outstanding work, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, April Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Ten.
