WHEREAS, on Thursday, April Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Zhen Yao Wang and the delegation; and
WHEREAS, Zhen Yao Wang is the Director General, Department of Social Welfare
& Promotion of Charities, Ministry of Civil Affairs, PRC; and
WHEREAS, the organization helps to maintain a standard of living for all people; and
WHEREAS, they help to protect the fundamental human rights by taking care of minorities with humanity and dignity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wang’s presentation focuses on Charity Development and Policy Making in China; and
WHEREAS, the organization is bringing together a diverse group of women to discuss the quality of life for women by defining their needs, roles and obstacles through an open discussion
from various ethnic groups; and
WHEREAS, by understanding the challenges facing women of all ethnicities, we will begin to gain a greater understanding and create a foundation to combat these issues in the future.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Zhen Yao Wang
Department of Social Welfare & Promotion of Charities
for his outstanding work, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, April Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Ten.
