WHEREAS, on Saturday, May First, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Global Love Day in Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, The Love Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of inspiring people to love unconditionally, is once again inviting people around the world to join together
in celebrating and expanding love during a one day planetary event encompassing all nations, all people, and all life; and
WHEREAS, this year is the seventh annual Global Love Day with the theme “Love Begins With Me” and will take place as various celebrations around the globe; and
WHEREAS, Global Love Day will establish a worldwide focus towards unconditionally loving each other as we love ourselves; and
WHEREAS, we are one humanity on this planet and all life is interconnected and interdependent; and
WHEREAS, all share in the universal bond of love and love begins with self acceptance and forgiveness; and
WHEREAS, with respect and compassion we embrace diversity and together we make a difference through love.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby proclaim May First, Two Thousand and Ten,
Global Love Day
in Cupertino and invite all citizens to observe this day, which honors the public cause for global love, world peace, and universal joy.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, May First, Two Thousand and Ten.
