WHEREAS, on Tuesday, September Seventh, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Daniel Nguyen; and
WHEREAS, Daniel Nguyen is the Chair for the Public Safety Commission; and
WHEREAS, on August Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Ten, Daniel was at the Happy Kid’s Day event's opening ceremony when a man walked up to him and asked Daniel to call 911 for his dad;
and
WHEREAS, Daniel used his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training to accurately assess the patient and make the necessary interventions he could provide without any equipment; and
WHEREAS, when Daniel found he was unresponsive, he called 911; and
WHEREAS, when he was breathing and had a pulse Daniel concluded that he did not need to perform CPR.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Daniel Nguyen
for his outstanding willingness to come to the aid of another and his readiness to respond by using his EMT training.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, September Seventh, Two Thousand and Ten.
