WHEREAS, on Wednesday, March Third, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize ; and
WHEREAS, over the past eighteen months the California Community College system has ; and
WHEREAS, nine out of one hundred families were chosen to receive this award; and
WHEREAS, seniors are valued members of society and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they live safely and with dignity; and
WHEREAS, Chinese Seniors United Association of Northern California help improve the quality of life for seniors and allow seniors to continue to live as independently as possible; and
WHEREAS, the organization treats seniors with respect and dignity to enable them to continue to serve as leaders, mentors, volunteers and important and active members of this community;
and
WHEREAS, the well being of seniors is in the interest of all and further adds to the well being of the community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Chinese Seniors United Association of Northern California
for their outstanding service, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino and encourage all citizens to recognize and support the activities
and programs of the organization.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, March Seventh, Two Thousand and Ten.
