WHEREAS, on Sunday, November Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Chinese for Peaceful Unification Northern California (CPUNC); and
WHEREAS, CPUNC was founded on October Twenty-Two, Two Thousand in the San Francisco Bay Area and their main objective is to unify China by peace; and
WHEREAS, they want to unite all ethnic groups, all factions, and community representatives to promote the exchange between both sides of the Taiwan Strait; and
WHEREAS, their association believes that to realize the unification of China by peace is the joint wish of all Chinese and the mutual interest of their Chinese ethnic groups; and
WHEREAS, this year they are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their founding.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Chinese for Peaceful Unification Northern California (CPUNC)
for their outstanding work, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, November Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Ten.
