WHEREAS, on Tuesday, December Twenty-First, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the significant contributions of Captain Terrence Calderone; and
WHEREAS, Captain Terrence Calderone began serving the community members of Santa Clara County as a Deputy Sheriff in Nineteen Seventy-Nine; and
WHEREAS, during his thirty-one year tenure at the Sheriff's Office, he worked in Detention, Patrol, Warrants, Courts, and Personnel Divisions; and
WHEREAS, in Two Thousand and One, Captain Calderone received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Captain Calderone went to the West Valley Patrol Division in March of Two Thousand and Four following his promotion to Lieutenant, and, in Two Thousand and Six, he was promoted
to the rank of Captain; and
WHEREAS, Captain Calderone showed commitment, professionalism, and diligence in every aspect of his performance in serving the West Valley community; and
WHEREAS, he dedicates his time and service to making significant and positive changes, great and small, through his actions.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby honor and recognize
Captain Terrence Calderone
for his service and counsel that serve to establish and maintain the highest standards of public service that have become synonymous with Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, December Twenty-First, Two Thousand and Ten.
