WHEREAS, on Monday, November Twenty-Ninth, Two Thousand and Ten, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Bowlmor Lanes; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes, previously known as STRIKE, supports the mission of West Valley Community Services (WVCS) of encouraging the sharing of community resources, providing basic human
needs in a caring and dignified environment, and providing opportunities for volunteers to participate in West Valley Community Services' activities; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes has partnered with WVCS in sponsoring a Thanksgiving event for WVCS’ clients for four years; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes donates and serves an all-inclusive free Thanksgiving lunch to over one thousand people; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes’ staff donates over two hundred hours to host the annual Thanksgiving event exclusive to WVCS’ clients; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes provides free bowling and arcade games to the attendees; and
WHEREAS, Bowlmor Lanes provides free bowling vouchers to WVCS’ clients for future visits.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Bowlmor Lanes
for four years of outstanding service to those in need in the communities of the West Valley region of Santa Clara County.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Monday, November Twenty-Ninth, Two Thousand and Ten.
