EAS, on Sunday, January Sixteenth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino
to recognize The First Spring Showcase; and
kS, The First Spring Showcase is a performance by our Chinese Performing Arts of
Youth Performing Group (CPAA YPG); and
the members are the most talented students who auditioned from their three
hundred dance students; and
WHEREAS, they were invited to perform this year and last year by the California Department
of Education in its annual convention; and
WHEREAS, the CPAA YPG was also selected to perform at the prestigious SF Ethnic Dance
Festival among the professional dance companies; and
WHEREAS, next February, CPAA YPG will also celebrate the Chinese New Year at Sausalito's
Discovery Museum; and
WHEREAS, their children have been working hard and have been serving the Bay Area
Community as little cultural ambassadors who represent the Chinese community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
recognize
The First Spring Showcase
and congratulate Chinese Performing Arts of America Youth Performing Group for their efforts
in organizing this wonderful event.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City
Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, January Sixteenth, Two Thousand and Eleven.
