WHEREAS, on Saturday, February Fourth, Two Thousand and Twelve, the City of
Cupertino wishes to recognize the "Huain Cup" Chinese Music International
Competition; and
WHEREAS, the competition will primarily focus on Chinese traditional instruments
including solo, ensembles and orchestra; and
WHEREAS, the competition is designed to discover talents, promote cultural
exchange and friendship; and
WHEREAS, in the multi -cultural American community, the event provides a unique
opportunity and platform for Chinese musicians to present their talents and
introduce Chinese music to a broader audience.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do
hereby recognize the
"Huain Cup" Chinese Music
International Competition
and thank everyone for their hard work and dedication in putting together this
wonderful event.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City
of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, February Fourth, Two Thousand and
Twelve.
