WHEREAS, on Monday, January Tenth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino
wishes to recognize the 7th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards; and
WHEREAS, each year, Chinese Restaurant News ranks the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in
America; and
WHEREAS, widely recognized as the most prestigious national event celebrating Chinese
cuisine in America, the event features Chinese restaurateurs and chefs from across America
with an estimated one thousand attendees; and
WHEREAS, regional and local attendees will draw from over six thousand restaurants in
California, of which there are three thousand in Northern California and over one thousand in
the San Francisco Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, the Overall Excellence Award signifies the highest honor of the competition, which
is open to all Chinese restaurants in the nation; and
WHEREAS, participating restaurants include newly established, seasoned and chain restaurants
as well as past award winners.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council. of Cupertino, do hereby
recognize the
7th Annual Top 100 Chinese
Restaurants Awards
and show our appreciation and support for Chinese cuisine in America and Chinese small
business owners and entrepreneurs.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Monday, January Tenth, Two Thousand and Eleven.
