WHEREAS, on Sunday, April Twenty-Fourth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy on the occasion of their 9th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Tai Ji Men is a traditional school of martial arts and qigong; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men founded Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Nineteen Sixty-Six; and
WHEREAS, friends from all walks of life have joined Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy all over the world; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Hong teaches his students the principle of ying and yang, and heart kungfu, which is to unite heart and qi into one; and
WHEREAS, the ultimate goal is to dedicate oneself to heart-to-heart cultural exchanges, practicing love of the world and promoting peace.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy
for their outstanding service, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, April Twenty-Fourth, Two Thousand and Eleven.
