HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Ronald Man Ho Yeung Proclamation - Word - 08.01.2011PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, on Sunday, August Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Ronald Man Ho Yeung, a Scout from Boy Scout Troop 30, for achieving Eagle, the highest rank in Boy Scouts; and WHEREAS, Ronald's Eagle project involved the repair of three sheds and the painting of backstops, benches, and sheds at nine baseball fields of the Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball League; and WHEREAS, over many years, conditions of the facilities have deteriorated from normal wear and tear; and WHEREAS, the project required over two hundred and fifty person-hours on nine workdays and Scouts from various troops and crews, as well as friends from his school, volunteered; and WHEREAS, the renovations - fixing leaky roofs, replacing broken locks, and repainting - will protect the equipment, prolong the life of the sheds, and prevent theft and damage, thus allowing the installations to be used for many more years. NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize Ronald Man Ho Yeung and congratulate him for his outstanding work and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors.
