WHEREAS, on Sunday, April Third, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Overseas Chinese Association_San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (OCA_SF Chapter) on
the occasion of their Ceremony for Commencement; and
WHEREAS, the Overseas Chinese Association was first founded in Nineteen Forty-Two and, today, it has a total of twenty-two chapters spreading over the world; and
WHEREAS, their objective has always been to respect Dr. Sun, Yat Sen, the founding father of Republic of China, practice the philosophy of Dr. Sun’s Three Principles of People, unite/
cooperate with all overseas Chinese in order to assist with their businesses being a success, and furthermore, collaborate with all races and friendly nations to reach harmony of the
world; and
WHEREAS, the OCA_SF Chapter is the 22nd branch of the Overseas Chinese Association.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
Overseas Chinese Association
San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
for their outstanding service, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, April Third, Two Thousand and Eleven.
