WHEREAS, on Sunday, March Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Northern California Hubei Association; and
WHEREAS, the Northern California Hubei Association is having a Lunar New Year celebration at the James Logan Center for Performing Arts in Union City; and
WHEREAS, Northern California Hubei Association is a platform for promoting exchanges between the Silicon Valley and Hubei province in culture, business, education, etc.; and
WHEREAS, in that spirit, every year, it arranges delegations to visit the Hubei province and also receives government official as well as non-official visits from Hubei; and
WHEREAS, over the years, it has been acknowledged and praised by different levels of local governments of both the United States and Hubei for its excellent services to the community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
Northern California Hubei Association
for their hard work and dedication and for all their wonderful services in the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, March Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand and Eleven.
