WHEREAS, on February 17, 2011, the Asian American Business Council of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce will the annual Chinese New Year Luncheon to celebrate the year of the rabbit;
and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Asian American Business Council is to promote, strengthen and enhance the inter-ethnic business environment in the Cupertino community; and
WHEREAS, the Asian American Business Council is interested in recognizing individuals who have contributed to cultural understanding the business community by honoring them with Bridge
Awards; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Chinese New Year Luncheon is to bring harmony and prosperity to Cupertino businesses by creating a time for the business community to come together; and
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Gilbert Wong, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize the first
Chinese New Year Luncheon celebration of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce’s Asian American Business Council
in recognition of their work to promote economic vitality, cultural, international, and community understanding.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Seventeenth day of February, Two-thousand and Eleven.
