WHEREAS, on Friday, March Twenty-Fifth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Indo-American Community Federation (IACF-USA) on the occasion of their 10th
Annual Dinner called Unity through Diversity: The Future of America's seniors; and
WHEREAS, Indo-American Community Federation (IACF-USA) is a non-profit public benefit corporation organized under the Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation Law of California for charitable
purposes; and
WHEREAS, in Nineteen Ninety-Four, the organization was founded by Jeevan Zutshi from Fremont, California, because he saw a need for Indo-Americans to get involved in mainstream America
by working on issues affecting them in their adopted land; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the non-profit organization is to bring entire diversity together to address serious issues facing the community at large, promote understanding and positive
relations through seminars and conventions, and provide financial assistance to needy and deserving individuals; and
WHEREAS, IACF-USA is committed to serving the entire community by promoting unity in diversity and by celebrating diversity through its Annual Unity Dinner events.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Indo-American Community Federation
for their outstanding service, dedication, and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, March Twenty-Fifth, Two Thousand and Eleven.
