WHEREAS, on Thursday, February Tenth, Two Thousand and Eleven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the 50th Season Opening Day Celebration of the Cupertino National Little League
(CNLL); and
WHEREAS, Cupertino National covers the southwest area of Cupertino, California with teams ranging from the youngest TBall players up through the experienced Seniors.
; and
WHEREAS, We host an active Spring season of Little League baseball (running roughly from March into June, though tournament play can run through July for the older divisions). We field
teams in many divisions: TBall, Farm, Minors, Majors, and Juniors, and we field a Seniors team when we have the players.
; and
WHEREAS, The objective of the Cupertino National Little League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect
for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.
Since the Spring of 1962, CNLL has served the Cupertino Community and its youth in a 100% volunteer organization.; and
WHEREAS, as part of the “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” celebration activities, an exhibition of Renowned Chinese Painting Artists will open in the Nan Hai Gallery where they
will showcase work by highly established and respected master artists.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
“Cultures of China, Festival of Spring”
celebration and thank Nan Hai Art Center for all their hard work in hosting such a wonderful event.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, February Tenth, Two Thousand and Eleven.
