WHEREAS, on Wednesday, March Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Twelve, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Registered Dietitian Day; and
WHEREAS, Registered Dietitians are the food and nutrition experts who can translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and
WHEREAS, Registered Dietitians have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public health or a related field from well-respected, accredited colleges and universities, completed an internship
and passed an examination; and
WHEREAS, Registered Dietitians work at El Camino Hospital provide evidence-based nutrition support, nutrition education and menu program to inpatients and outpatients; and
WHEREAS, Registered Dietitians are advocates for advancing the nutritional status of Americans and people around the world and;
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
Registered Dietitian Day
and commend the dedicated supporters and participants who have worked so hard to make this event successful.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, March Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Twelve.
