WHEREAS, on Tuesday, April Third, Two Thousand and Twelve, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the significant contributions of past Mayor and Councilmember Ralph Lindenmeyer;
and
WHEREAS, Ralph served Cupertino with integrity and grace from Nineteen Fifty-Five to Nineteen Fifty-Seven; and
WHEREAS, Ralph served as the first mayor of Cupertino, California, upon the incorporation of the city in 1955; and
WHEREAS, Ralph promoted and encouraged a sense of giving and service by all citizens that contributed to a growing and dynamic community; and
WHEREAS, Ralph’s profound commitment to the core values of democracy have permeated both our organization and community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby honor, recognize and mourn the passing of
Ralph Lindenmeyer
in recognition of his past service and leadership that served to establish and maintain the highest standards of public service that have become synonymous with Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this Tuesday, April Third, Two Thousand and Twelve, and herewith adjourn this City Council meeting in his memory.
