WHEREAS, on Saturday, February Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Twelve, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Academy of Chinese Performing Arts Firecracker VIII Annual Event; and
WHEREAS, the Academy of Chinese Performing Arts is the presenter of this event and their mission has always been to establish a strong foundation of artistry and creativity that is a
representative of China; and
WHEREAS, this event, taking place at De Anza College in the Visual and Performing Arts Center, will showcase the tradition and cultural richness of our community; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Academy of Chinese Performing Arts are the most talented students who have performed in over three hundred productions; and
WHEREAS, this event would have not been possible without Mr. David Chen founder and artistic director of the Academy of Chinese Performing Arts; and
WHEREAS, their children have been working hard and have been serving the Bay Area Community as little cultural ambassadors who represent the Chinese community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize
Academy of Chinese Performing Arts Firecracker VIII Annual Event
and congratulate the many people who have worked to make this event a success and express our appreciation for the cultural wealth that has been shared with the people and City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed Saturday, February Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Twelve.
