HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Mark Linder Proclamation - Word - 02.05.2013Mark Linder has been the director of the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department since April 2008, and Throughout his career, Mark has maintained a an intense focus on local services and neighborhood priorities. Mark has maintained that focus in Cupertino and strengthened the community orientation of many city services, and Mark has tackled many important and sensitive issues facing our community including working with BlackBerry Farm neighbors, regional partners and our school districts, and during his tenure in Cupertino, Mark has been a leader in a profound breadth of organizations ranging from the National League of Cities, to the board of directors for the Law Foundation Silicon Valley and Women’s Crisis Support-Defensa de Mujeres, and many more, and Mark been an adjunct professor at San Jose State University, where his collaborative mentorship has taught many who wish to work in the public sector, to do so with the highest ethical values and standards of service. Now therefore be it resolved that the Mayor and city Council of the city of Cupertino to recognize Mark Linder for his exemplary service to the people and city of Cupertino, and wish him the very best on all his future endeavors.
