WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino offers best wishes to Joseph B. McCune on the occasion of his Eighty-Ninth birthday; and
WHEREAS, Joseph and his wife Gladys have lived in Cupertino since 1947 and have lived in the same house for the last sixty-two years; and
WHEREAS, they built their home over four years in an area that was a vineyard and bought their lot for $500; and
WHEREAS, Joe spent his past time fishing and walking around the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Joe and Gladys have raised three children and now enjoy six grand children and three great grandchildren.
NOW, therefore,be it resolved,that the Mayor and the Cupertino City Council do hereby recognize
Joseph B. McCune
to honor him and his family, and the important role he has played in so many lives as neighbor, friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thirteeith day of September, Two Thousand and Thirteen.
