WHEREAS, on Sunday, April Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Thirteen, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Himachal Day; and
WHEREAS, to celebrate and share Himachal’s rich cultural heritage and to showcase its distinct cultural identity; and
WHEREAS, by educating visitors about Himachal’s unique beauty, people, cultural and background through colorful dances, soul stirring music and informative video presentations and displays;
and
WHEREAS, provides a platform to the people of Himachal in the United States to come together and participate in worthy community projects; and
WHEREAS, Himachal Day provides a glimpse into the lives, beliefs and popular customs of the Himachali people; and
WHEREAS, the festival provides an enriching and fun-filled day of celebration, to recognize and honor the Himachali people that have made positive contributions to society.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize
Himachal Day
and thank everyone for their participation in this wonderful event and for creating a stronger and better community for the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, April Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Thirteen.
