WHEREAS, on Sunday, March Fourth, Two Thousand and One, the City of Cupertino wishes to congratulate the Northern California Hakka Association as it celebrates its 20th anniversary;
and
WHEREAS, this local non-profit organization promotes and introduces the Hakka culture and community to the Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, we are deeply honored to be part of this special celebration and we look forward to continuing to celebrate the wonderful opportunities provided by our continuing partnership;
and
WHEREAS, on this very special anniversary, we salute those residents and community volunteers who have been so instrumental in strengthening the ties that bind our community;
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that Mayor Sandra James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize the Board and members of the
Northern California Hakka Association
For creating a stronger Hakka community and a stronger community for the people and City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, March Second, Two Thousand and One.
