WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Cassandra Biellak; and
WHEREAS, Toyokawa has been a sister city with Cupertino for 37 years and since then
the international exchange of middle school students has preserved and
promoted the sharing between these two communities; and
WHEREAS, Cassandra Biellak has been selected by the City of Cupertino Sister City
Committee to represent the City of Cupertino while on an official visit to
Toyokawa; and
WHEREAS, Under the auspices of this tradition of sharing between Cupertino and
Toyokawa, Cassandra Biellak will add to the tapestry that binds the homes
and hearts of these two communities.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
recognize
Cassandra Biellak
and urge all residents to celebrate and acknowledge her commitment to serve as a
representative of the people, community, and the City of Cupertino as part of the 2015
Toyokawa Sister City Delegation.
