HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 El Camino Hospital Proclamation - Word - 01.22.2015PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, El Camino Hospital is an acute-care, 443-bed nonprofit and locally governed organization with campuses in Mountain View and Los Gatos, California and is recognized as a national leader in the use of health information technology and wireless communications; and WHEREAS, El Camino Hospital is in collaboration with the PulsePoint Foundation, which builds applications that coordinate with local public safety agencies to improve communications with trained emergency personnel and citizens enabling them to save lives; and WHEREAS, El Camino Hospital announced the launch of the second PulsePoint mobile app, PulsePoint AED, which is designed to build the most comprehensive registry of public automated external defibrillators (AED) available for use during sudden cardiac emergencies; and WHEREAS, to inform the community about PulsePoint AED, El Camino Hospital advertises on its website and held a PulsePoint – Submit an AED Location – Contest where participants located and submited unregistered AEDs in SantaClara County using the PulsePoint AED app. NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize El Camino Hospital as a proponent of technology advancement and financial supporter of the PulsePoint and PulsePoint AED apps that serve emergency and critical needs in the community. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, January Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Fifteen. Rod Sinks, Mayor
