HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Carol Korade ProclamationPROCLAMATION WHEREAS, on Tuesday, October Twentieth, Two Thousand and Fifteen, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize retiring City Attorney Carol Korade; and WHEREAS, Carol is being recognized by the City Council of the City of Cupertino on the occasion of her retirement from the position of City Attorney for the City of Cupertino; and WHEREAS, Carol has served the City of Cupertino for six years providing legal counsel and sage advice to City Council members and unparalleled service to the taxpayers and residents of the City of Cupertino; and WHEREAS, Carol has served the community with her thorough knowledge of land use law and ability to provide high quality and cost effective legal assistance; and WHEREAS, during her tenure, Carol’s knowledge of the law has only been exceeded by the range of circumstances in which she participated in its application; and WHEREAS, Carol served during a time of tremendous expansion in Cupertino interests and complex projects, with the implementation of the Apple Campus 2 project, along with legal services related to the Main Street and Stevens Creek Trail projects among many other complex matters; and WHEREAS, Carol is also to be recognized for her long tenure of dedicated public service with over thirty-four years of providing exemplary municipal legal services, twenty-four of which were served as an in-house City Attorney; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council deeply appreciate the valuable services provided by City Attorney Carol Korade and wish her much success in her future endeavors. NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby acknowledge and honor Carol Korade for her service and counsel that have served to establish and maintain the highest standards of public service that have become synonymous with Cupertino. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed Tuesday, October Twentieth, Two Thousand and Fifteen. ______________________ Rod Sinks, Mayor
