WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to acknowledge the dedicated service
of Lichung Ting; and
WHEREAS, Li has contributed more than 800 hours of volunteer work for West
Valley Community Services, reliably and efficiently fulfilling duties
in the food pantry, which include sorting grocery items and
assisting clients; and
WHEREAS, he is also a trusted and valued translator for WVCS, providing
much needed service to case workers and their Chinese-speaking
clients, a job that ensures those clients are given full access to the
programs and services offered by the agency; and
WHEREAS, Li is a steadfast and devoted volunteer who is always willing to
take on extra tasks and support WVCS with monetary donations
and generous contributions of time, energy and expertise; and
WHEREAS, he exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism, seeking no personal
reward other than the satisfaction of helping fellow humans in
need.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
commend and recognize
Lichung Ting
for his dedicated work and commitment toward building a stronger and better
community within the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Twenty-Eighth day of May, Two Thousand and Fifteen.
