WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to acknowledge the dedicated service
of Jim Harrah; and
WHEREAS, since he began volunteering at the age of 70 for the Cupertino
Senior Center, he has demonstrated enthusiasm, commitment and
reliability in the performance of varied duties and activities; and
WHEREAS, his expertise in advertising and the print media have been
instrumental in helping guide the Senior Center through expansion
and change during the past 24 years, as he significantly improved
the flow of information from the center to its members; and
WHEREAS, Jim willingly and generously donated countless hours and
considerable skill in creating and delivering thousands of flyers for
Senior Center programs and re-designing the center’s 10-page
newsletter; and
WHEREAS, at 94 years of age and challenged by health issues, Jim continues to
serve others through unselfish and steadfast volunteer work.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
commend and recognize
Jim Harrah
for his dedicated work and commitment toward building a stronger and better
community within the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Twenty-Eighth day of May, Two Thousand and Fifteen.
