WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to acknowledge the dedicated service
of Angela Chen; and
WHEREAS, for more than 30 years, while building a career in both private and
public sectors, she has been a devoted and reliable volunteer for a
number of groups and agencies in the City; and
WHEREAS, she has been a tireless and key contributor for the Cupertino-
Hsinchu Sister City Association, sharing her financial acumen,
administrative abilities and leadership skills to strengthen the
group’s programs and guide it toward an alliance with the
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Angela is also an active member of the Cupertino Audit Committee
and serves on the boards of the De Anza Foundation and the
Cupertino Sanitary District; and
WHEREAS, she is known and valued as a champion of diversity and for
continually encouraging residents of all cultures to become
involved.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
commend and recognize
Angela Chen
for her dedicated work and commitment toward building a stronger and better
community within the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Twenty-Eighth day of May, Two Thousand and Fifteen.
