WHEREAS, on Sunday, February Twenty-First, Two Thousand and Sixteen, the
Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy celebrated its 50th Anniversary at the 2016 Chinese
New Year Gathering; and
WHEREAS, Qigong is a martial art with the philosophy that general health comes
from a balance of body, mind and environment; and
WHEREAS, the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy of San Jose is recognized for 13 years
of promoting traditional Chinese culture with the mission of advancing physical,
mental and spiritual health worldwide; and
WHEREAS, the group’s energetic performances promote international friendship,
the spirit of universal brotherhood and spread the beauty of the Chinese culture
across the world.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do
hereby recognize the
Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy
and thank the organization for doing an outstanding job in promoting friendship
and cultural exchange in our local community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the
City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, March Fifteenth, Two Thousand and
Sixteen.
