WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino whole-heartedly celebrates the Opening Ceremony of
the 32nd Taiwanese & Chinese American Athletic Tournament on Sunday,
July Tenth, Two Thousand and Sixteen; and
WHEREAS, this outstanding event commemorates the 32nd Anniversary of the
Taiwanese & Chinese American Athletic Tournament Association of
the San Francisco Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, San Francisco Bay Area Taiwanese and Chinese community athletes will
compete in more than 20 games for titles in team and individual sports,
including basketball, badminton, golf, shooting, softball, Chinese
wrestling, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and ballroom dancing; and
WHEREAS, the Taiwanese & Chinese American Athletic Tournament Association of
the San Francisco Bay Area organizes the event in order to develop the
habits of sports and fitness in the communities of Taiwanese and Chinese
compatriots, regardless of age.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
commend and recognize the
32nd Taiwanese & Chinese
American Athletic Tournament
in celebration and appreciation for providing residents of Cupertino the remarkable
opportunity of engaging in competition and participating as supporters of athletes that
provide an example of promoting a healthy lifestyle.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, July Tenth, Two Thousand and Sixteen.
