WHEREAS, on Sunday, August Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Sixteen, the City
of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Northern California Chinese Culture Athletic
Federation’s (NCCCAF) opening ceremony of the 14th Annual Northern California
All Chinese-American Olympics; and
WHEREAS, thousands of fellow Californians will cheer for over one hundred
teams and five thousand athletes competing for titles in badminton, baseball,
basketball, martial arts, table tennis, track and field, tennis, softball, swimming,
volleyball, soccer, cross-country, and bowling; and
WHEREAS, the Northern California Chinese Culture Athletic Federation sees
these events as an opportunity to encourage children and families to connect
through music, food, and competitions.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do
hereby recognize the
14th Annual Northern California
All Chinese-American Olympics
and thank the Northern California Chinese Culture Athletic Federation for their
outstanding work and dedication in creating a healthy lifestyle and enhancing
community relations in the spirit of Olympics and Chinese traditions.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the
City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, August Fourteenth, Two Thousand
and Sixteen.
