WHEREAS, American Red Cross Month is a special time to recognize and thank
our Everyday Heroes – those who reach out to help people in need; and
WHEREAS, across the country and around the world, American Red Cross heroes
respond to disasters, help victims recover, give blood to help hospital patients, step
forward to help someone having a heart attack, and brighten the day of an injured
service member; and
WHEREAS, we would like to remember our heroes here in Cupertino who help
people in need, working tirelessly to assist their neighbors when they need a
helping hand; and
WHEREAS, we dedicate the month of March to all those who support the American
Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of
emergencies.
NOW, therefore be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino do
hereby commend and recognize March 2016
American Red Cross Month
and encourage the Cupertino community and all Americans to support this
organization with time, money and blood donations to fulfill its
noble humanitarian mission.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the
City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, March Fifteenth,
Two-Thousand and Sixteen.
