WHEREAS, on Sunday, December Tenth, Two Thousand and Seventeen, the Cupertino-
Taichung Friendship Cities Association will hold its annual meeting; and
WHEREAS, friendship city partnerships can be an effective method in fostering increased
global cooperation and communication between the City of Cupertino and international
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino-Taichung Friendship Cities Association has been instrumental in
establishing and maintaining a strong bond between Taichung and Cupertino and enhancing
the Cupertino community;
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
recognize December Tenth, Two Thousand and Seventeen as
Cupertino-Taichung Friendship
Cities Association Day
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, December Tenth, Two Thousand and Seventeen.
