WHEREAS, on Saturday, May Twenty-Seventh , Two Thousand and Seventeen,
the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Beverly Lenihan on her
75th birthday; and
WHEREAS, we appreciate Beverly for volunteering with numerous non-profits
in the community including the Cupertino Library Foundation,
Cupertino Poet Laureate Program, Cupertino Rotary Endowment
Foundation and serving as President of the Association of
Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley Chapter and the Cupertino
Rotary Club, as well as being involved with many other agencies;
and
WHEREAS, Beverly holds the distinction of being a past winner of the
Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken (CREST) Award, which
recognizes individuals and groups who have made outstanding
contributions to the City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lenihan was very involved in the remodel of the Cupertino
Library Teen Room, which brought a number of community groups
together to modernize the programs and facilities; and
WHEREAS, Beverly has utilized her business acumen in high-technology
business development to enhance the success of the charitable goals
of notable organizations.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby
celebrate
Beverly Lenihan
on her 75th birthday and recognize her for her outstanding work, dedication, and creation
of a stronger and better community in the city of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, May Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand and
Seventeen.
