HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Public Servants Proclamation - pdf - 01.31.2018PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, on Wednesday, January Thirty-first, Two Thousand and Eighteen, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Santa Clara County Fire Department Deputy Chief Joe Parker at the State of the City Address; and WHEREAS, since joining the Santa Clara County Fire Department in 1983, Chief Parker has served in the Cupertino community for over fifteen years; and WHEREAS, Chief Parker’s quiet leadership style has always been a source of motivation, to those that he has worked with and led, to do their best work to meet the needs of the community; and WHEREAS, although Chief Parker retired at the end of December 2017, he continues to lead SCCFD through this latest transition, and remains an outstanding contributor to the Santa Clara County Fire Department and the communities they serve. His dedication, commitment, and leadership ability are inspirational to all. NOW, therefore, the City of Cupertino wishes to congratulate and proclaim Santa Clara County Fire Department Deputy Chief Joe Parker an outstanding public safety employee, and commend him for his many years of excellent service to our community. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, January Thirty-first, Two Thousand and Eighteen. __________________________ Darcy Paul, Mayor PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, on Wednesday, January Thirty-first, Two Thousand and Eighteen, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Harvey at the State of the City Address; and WHEREAS, Deputy Harvey joined the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office in 2011, and graduated the law enforcement academy in May of 2012. After graduating, Deputy Harvey worked in the Court Security Division before joining the West Valley Patrol Division in January of 2014, where he quickly became an asset; and WHEREAS, Deputy Harvey’s hard work and dedication to public safety led to his recruitment as a Field Training Officer, being given the responsibility of training new deputies in policing operations and tactics; and WHEREAS, Deputy Harvey’s commitment to Public Safety efforts in the city of Cupertino, has made a significant contribution to the quality of life and helped make Cupertino a safe place to live and work. NOW, therefore, the City of Cupertino wishes to congratulate and proclaim Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Mark Harvey an outstanding public safety employee, and commend him for his many years of excellent service to our community.
