Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Santa Clara Valley
Chapter of the American Red Cross for its response efforts to the
Camp Fire; and
WHEREAS,
people prepare for, prevent and cope with emergencies, and to be
the first to provide assistance at the scene of a disaster; and
WHEREAS,
time and resources to
destructive fire in California, having burned more than 1.9 million
acres of land and more than 20,000 buildings; and
WHEREAS,
and hope during a disaster. We
community, who gave themselves to assist their neighbors when
they needed a helping0 hand; and
WHEREAS,
food, emotional support, and other necessities to those affected; and
WHEREAS,
as CPR, and through its Restoring Family Links Program, connects
family members separated by crisis, conflict, or migration;
THEREFORE,
hereby Proclaim
American Red Cross
An outstanding public service entity, and commend them for their many years of excellent
service to our community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City
of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, December Eighteen, Two Thousand and Eighteen.

Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Santa Clara County
Fire Department (SCCFD) for their response efforts to the Camp
Fire; and
WHEREAS,
to assist with firefighting, search and rescue, and incident
management operations; and
WHEREAS,
is now the deadliest and most destructive fire in California, having
burned more than 1.9 million acres of land and more than 20,000
buildings; and
WHEREAS,
homes and buildings during the
completing significant firefighting assignments including fire line
construction to protect the community of Sterling City; and
WHEREAS,
medical support to fire line personnel; and
WHEREAS,
Management Agency Urban Search and Rescue
assist with search and recovery; and
WHEREAS,
incident management operations;
THEREFORE,
hereby Proclaim
Santa Clara County Fire Department
An outstanding public service entity, and commend them for their many years of excellent
service to our community.
