WHEREAS, on Friday, March Second, Two Thousand and Eighteen, the Cupertino
Chamber of Commerce hosts its Annual Lunar New Year Luncheon; and
WHEREAS, at this event, the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce presents Bridge Awards
to individuals and organizations that have stepped forward to promote greater
understanding between the various cultural and ethnic groups in our community; and
WHEREAS, this year, Henry Sang is the recipient of the Bridge Award in the Individual
category; and
WHEREAS, Henry has been a leader and innovator in technology for more than three
decades, and has continued to serve as a catalyst to promote dialogue and innovation
across organizations and cultural groups in Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino now joins with the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce to
thank Mr. Henry Sang for his work with the Cupertino Library Foundation.
NOW, therefore, the Mayor of the City of Cupertino hereby proclaims and recognizes
Henry Sang
for receiving the Bridge Award for Individual Service and for his outstanding
accomplishments and service to the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, March Second, Two Thousand and Eighteen.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, on Friday, March Second, Two Thousand and Eighteen, the Cupertino
Chamber of Commerce hosts its Annual Lunar New Year Luncheon; and
WHEREAS, at this event, the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce presents Bridge Awards
to individuals and organizations that have stepped forward to promote greater
understanding between the various cultural and ethnic groups in our community; and
WHEREAS, this year, the Shin Shin Educational Foundation is the recipient of the Bridge
Award in the Business category; and
WHEREAS, since its formation in 1997, the Shin Shin Educational Foundation has created
and led a remarkable and growing coalition of nonprofits to promote education in rural
China; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino now joins with the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce to
thank the Shin Shin Educational Foundation for its work to improve the learning
environment of children.
NOW, therefore, the Mayor of the City of Cupertino hereby proclaims and recognizes
Shin Shin Educational
Foundation
for receiving the Bridge Award for Non- Profit Business Service and for its continuing
mission of providing quality education to underprivileged students in China.
