Proclamation
WHEREAS, Each year, thousands of Silicon Valley families struggle to find an
affordable home in one of the most expensive housing markets in
the nation; and
WHEREAS,
experiencing homelessness, 74 percent of whom are unsheltered;
and
WHEREAS,
solutions and participation from all cities and the County.
THEREFORE,
Proclaim the week of May 11th to 18th, 2018 as
Affordable Housing Week
in the City of Cupertino, and we are committed to safe, stable, and affordable housing for
all its residents.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, May Fifteenth, Two Thousand and Eighteen.

To Proclaim our highest appreciation and respect for your organization’s diligent and compassionate
efforts in delivering to the City of Cupertino affordable housing, and in particular
for your efforts in ensuring that affordable housing needs for our extremely low-income
senior population are addressed.
