Proclamation
WHEREAS, Public works infrastructure, facilities and services are of vital
importance to sustainable communities and to the health, safety
and well-being of the residents and businesses of the City of
Cupertino; and
WHEREAS,
Declarations related to recent winter storms have reminded the
community that the dedication and skill of all public works
employees play an essential role in preserving the health, safety
and comfort of our residents, businesses and visitors; and,
THEREFORE,
do hereby acknowledge the week of May 21st to 27th, 2017 as the
57th annual
National Public Works Week
in the City of Cupertino, and all citizens and civic organizations are encouraged to become
familiar with public works services, and to recognize the contributions that City of
Cupertino Public Works employees make every day to the health, safety, comfort and
quality of life in the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, May Sixteenth, Two Thousand and Seventeen.
