Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Sharon Lindsley, a
United States Postal Service worker and a local community hero;
and
WHEREAS,
Eighteenth, Ms. Lindsley was on the job as a mail carrier in the
Cupertino Hills when her mail truck burst into flames; and
WHEREAS,
situation, while at the same time attempting to contact Emergency
Services and avoiding injury to herself and others as the fire
rapidly destroyed the truck; and
WHEREAS,
new truck to Ms. Lindsley who re-sorted the resident mail and
finished her route, managing to deliver holiday mail on schedule
due to her quick action; and
THEREFORE,
hereby commend and recognize
Ms. Sharon Lindsley
And wish to recognize the contributions she makes to our Community every day in the
City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, January Twenty Second, Two Thousand and
Nineteenth.
