Proclamation
WHEREAS, The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office will hold its annual Peace
Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on Friday, May Tenth, Two
Thousand and Nineteen; and
WHEREAS,
May 15th as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day, and the week in which
it falls as National Police Week; and,
WHEREAS,
rights and freedoms of citizens, safeguarding lives and property
against violence and disorder, protecting the innocent against
deception, and defending the week against oppression and
intimidation; and
WHEREAS,
public safety and enforce the laws of the land; and
WHEREAS,
honored to serve the citizens of the City of Cupertino, and proud
of their role in helping to create and maintain a safe community for
our citizens.
THEREFORE,
hereby acknowledge the week of May 12th to 18th, 2019 as
National Police Week
in the City of Cupertino, and all citizens and civic organizations are encouraged to honor
officers who have fallen in the line of duty, and recognize the sacrifices made by the
families of those officers and those who continue to protect and serve our community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, May Tenth, Two Thousand and Nineteen.
